I have already spent more on solar equipment than I will ever save in free electricity. Funny Huh? You'll see I've been to Maplins buying a 12v 13 watt solar briefcase (including regulator), a few 12v 2.4 watt triclke chargers, a freeeloader, and a battery charger. The 12v chargers connect to a 17 Ah Power Starter (& tire inflator) an old 80 Ah Leisure Battery, and when we're on the road top up a 140Ah Leisure battery on a camper van. The smaller devices keep me going in batteries, phone chargingng, ipod etc. I can run jbl docks with ipod indefdinately, plus other applications. As long as I don't keep my netbook on all the time, I get many hours of use before resorting to the internal batteries. The internal batteries can be charged by the tricle charger (as can camera batteries with 12v chargers). What a geek. But this is just the start... Next its the manure heap. By the way just trying out a new disgo fun cam (soon to be also be charged by renewable sources.
